I will never forget meeting you and getting to know you with Carrie and my mother while you took us all out to eat. It will always be a special memory I have and always has been. You were so beautiful and a lovely woman. Thank you

The family asked me to send this poem:
“Fly On”
A gentle spirit has gone home,
Far from a troubled world.
The universe she now shall roam,
Her banner there unfurled.
For many decades she was ours.
We basked within her light.
Those near her bloomed like precious flowers,
And soared like hawks in flight.
She sought the good in each of us,
And in us good she found.
She modeled love and hope and trust,
Bright stars that grace her crown.
Fly on, our dearest Dorothy.
Reside in peace, Aunt Dot.
With love your sole priority,
Prepare for us a spot.
Till then, in dreams you shall appear,
And in our thoughts by day.
You shall not be forgotten here,
Until we come your way.
