I felt like the luckiest kid at Webster High School to land my first after school job at Webster Records at age 15 and stayed with them through college working over semester break. Their passion for music got me started listening to jazz which still is a big part of my life. Dorothy, a fine person and role model, was devoted to her family and competent in connecting people to music of their choice. Dorothy and the Webster Records prototype will be sorely missed as on-line music purchases replace stores. I smile when I think of the holiday cheer I enjoyed with the Gleasons. Ah, the joy Dottie and Roy brought to us in their friendly Webster Records store on Lockwood. I bought my first Beatles album there. This treasured couple graced us with their gift of love for music and community and will be missed immensely.
