Dear Jerry,
We have many fond memories of you and Eileen along with your beautiful family at SGM and please know that our prayers are with each of you. Eileen was an inspiration to many in every heart that she touched. Our sympathy in her passing, but as we strongly believe it is only temporally, Thanks Be to God!

Dear Jerry -
I was also a student of Mrs. Cochran's at Laboure' High School. In all my years of schooling, your wife was my favorite teacher. She made learning fun, and made us feel like we could talk to her about anything. However, we always respected her authority and for being the intelligent, kind person she was. A few of us helped you move into your first home on Patrina Court, and were delighted to be a part of the happy occasion. Thanks for sharing her with all the students who loved her!

Jerry,
Although we are deeply saddened by the loss of your beautiful Eileen, we know how blessed your life has been by sharing it with her for these past 44 years and the years before that when you dated. We have fond memories of the years we shared with you and Eileen as high school sweethearts. She has always been truly unique in her goodness. Our thoughts, love and prayers are with you and your family.

Jerry, I just learned of Eileen's death today. I have so many memories of her from grade school - and so many from high school and later, include you. No one could make me laugh like Eileen (we got in plenty of trouble over that). I missed my chance for one more conversation last year when she sent me a message on Facebook that she had a "small world" story for me. I didn't call to find out what that was and I'll never know now. This is a lesson for me to stay in touch with the good people you meet in life. I know how much you love her and how she loved her "Jerry Berry." You and your huge loving family are in my heart.

We are so very sorry for your loss. There are just some things that make life importnat, like people we know who are special and so we keep them close for just as long as we can and then we must let them go to to their loved ones in heaven. While it's true that people will forget what Eileen said, people will forget some of what Eileen did, but people never will forget how Eileen made them feel. And to live in the hearts that Eileen has left behind is never to die.

Jerry and Family,
I just wanted to tell you how much she meant to me. She was a guiding light to me when I was her student at Laboure. She inspired many of us. Because of her concern and sincere love for children, I eventually became a teacher. I often inform my students about how it used to be, and that it really is okay to treat your students like family. Then I bring up Miss O'Donnell's name and laugh about how we all went to your first apartment and spent the night giggling over how she burnt the corn. I speak for others when I tell you it was a pleasure to have known such a lady. God bless her.
