Emily Bloor Obituary

Emily Igou Bloor passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 72 in St. Peters, Missouri. Born on December 30, 1952, Emily dedicated most of her professional life to caring for others as a hospice nurse with the Mercy Organization, a role that exemplified her giving nature and selflessness.
Emily was a graduate of the Decones School of Nursing, which laid the foundation for her long and impactful career in nursing. Known for her compassionate care, Emily was often described as a giving person who always placed the needs of others above her own, making her an exceptional nurse and a cherished colleague.
In addition to her professional life, Emily had a deep love for animals, especially dogs and cats, which brought great joy and companionship throughout her life.
Emily leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her husband, Robert Bloor; her children, Sarah Beckmann (Jacob) and Joseph Oberender(Tabitha); her siblings, Mary Anne Gebhardt and Randall Igou (Twanna); and her stepchildren, Balinda Mulshine, Joy Bloor, and Nathaniel Bloor. Emily was a proud grandmother to Jerimiah, Emily, Benjamin, Alexander, and Mason, and a step-grandmother to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Martha Igou; her brother, Craig Igou (Marilyn); brother in law Phillip Gebhardt, nephew Devion Jackson Post. and stepson, Kenneth C. Bloor.
A service to celebrate Emily's life will be held on September 27, 2025, at Calvary Church, 3998 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri. Visitation will begin at 10 AM followed by the service at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice or a favorite animal rescue in memory of Emily, honoring her lifelong support of compassionate care and her love for animals. Emily's legacy of kindness and care will continue to influence and inspire all who knew her.

I grew up with Emily and her siblings. She lived straight up the street from me. Had many fun memories of them all. I´m so sorry to learn of her passing. My prayers are with you.

Emily was one special person, always caring and being a listening ear. She had such a wide range of interests, including Cardinals baseball and the Civil War. I will miss her, but know her new life will be heavenly.
