Switzer, Emily Mary Loncaric
Emily Mary Loncaric Switzer died February 22, 2022 at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Francis Switzer, and daughter of the late Valentin and Marija Loncaric; mother of Mary Breed (Jerry), Joseph Switzer (Molly), Michael Switzer (Stephanie), and William Switzer; dear grandmother of Logan Breed (Mary), Brennan Breed (Catherine), Amanda Villapando (Mark), Connor Breed (Kathryn), Mary McDonald (Chris), Emily Patton (Lance), Joseph Switzer III, and Jonathan Switzer; great-grandmother of 14; sister of the late William Loncaric (Marcella). Emily was born in St Louis, where she was devoted to numerous charities, among them, the Fleur de Lis, St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf, the St. Louis Priory Mother's Club and many events at Villa Duchesne. Our mom made a beautiful and loving home for us, and was a living model for us of her values of cheerfulness, kindness and hard work. Later in life, Emily moved to Virginia to be near family. A Visitation will be held at St. John the Beloved Church in McLean, Virginia, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Immediately following the mass, a reception will be held at St. John the Beloved. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) or Yuma Center in Washington, D.C. (yumadc.org). Share a memory with the family at moneyandking.com
