Emory Pierson Obituary
Emory L. Pierson Sr., 52, of Pittsgrove passed away suddenly Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland.
Emory was born in Camden to the late Harry and Doris (Wagner) Pierson and lived in Pittsgrove the past 21 years. He was a contractor under Emory Pierson, LLC and for Alliance Landscaping Inc. of Pittsgrove. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, crabbing and sharing time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Joanne (Harper) Pierson of Pittsgrove; two sons, Emory L. Pierson Jr. and Dylan M. Pierson; and daughter, Chelsea L. Pierson, all at home; mother, Doris Pierson of Pittsgrove; two brothers, Howard J. Pierson and his wife Judy of Salem, and Richard E. Pierson and his wife Karen of Pilesgrove; one sister, Nancy Armienti of Pittsgrove; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.
A funeral liturgy will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, St. Rose Church, 104 Catawba Ave., Newfield. Inurnment will be private. Visitation hours are Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m. in church prior to the liturgy.
Donations in Emory's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
