Von Behren Jr., Erwin
82, (aka Sonny or Erv) of Bradenton, Florida died on October 23, 2022. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Erwin and Lottie (nee Pehle) Von Behren. Sonny is survived by his wife of 64 years, Georgia (nee Traxel), his children, Rachel (Matthew) Brody, Renee (Brian Hufker) Von Behren, Michael (Michele) Von Behren and grandchildren, Robin, Ryan and Sarah Brody, Kurt and Michael Hufker, Cassandra, William and Amalie Von Behren. He served in the US Navy Silent Service (nuclear submarines) for 20 years. He then served as a Merchant Seaman for another 20 years. He was a member of the USS Sailfish Base (Submarine Veterans) in Venice, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Salvation Army in Erwin's name. A memorial service is planned for December 12 at 1:30 p,m. at Sarasota National Cemetery.
