I'm so sorry to hear of my Aunt Etta's passing. Aunt Etta & Uncle Woody were always so caring. They never forgot to send me birthday & Xmas cards with a few $'s. Uncle Woody offered to walk me down the aisle since I didn't have anyone else, that was 7/26/80. Please accept my deepest sympathies, it hasn't been a good year. You are so in my thoughts & prayers during this time of sorrow. Margie

I ONLY KNEW ETTA FOR A SHORT TIME AT FIESER NURSING HOME. I DID HER HAIR AND FEEL BLESSED THAT I DID KNOW HER FOR THE SHORT TIME.

Not many people know this but Aunt Etta saved my brother Bob's life when our families were swimming in the Meramec River some 40 years ago. Bob was sitting on an innertube and the current started "swiftly" sending him downstream. Everyone froze in fear except Etta. She dared to take a chance and run out to grab him just as he passed by the group. Our family never again swam in that river. I will be eternally grateful to Etta for her courage and selflessness that day. I pray she is now in heaven experiencing the ultimate joy of a healthy body and the jubilant reunion with Woody, Dale, Denny, her brothers and sister and all those she loved dearly and who loved her. God bless you, comfort and strengthen you Kathy, Cathy and your families as you mourn the loss of Woody, Dale and Etta in these past six weeks. My prayers and love are with you.
