Yoder, George Gordon Jr., Capt USAF
Born: October 9, 1939 in Dallas, Texas, Died: May 4, 2024 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Jo Yoder (the love of his life); dedicated father of Jeffrey D. Yoder (Jeanne), Stephen D. Yoder, Gregory S. Yoder (Roxanne), Susan D. Finn (Gregory, MD) and Pamela Thistlewaite (Robert), dearest grandfather of Joshua (Mary), Tiffany, Brittney (Jeff), Sally (Karl), Alex (Zaki), Austin, Kyle (Lucy), Abigail, Ethan, Emma, Jacob, Paige and the late Justin. Great-grandfather of
Amelia, Audrey, Kade and Luke.
Brother-in-law of the late Maxine, Cliff, Betty, Edmund, Edward, Martha and Larry.
Gordon enlisted in the USAF in 1959 where he served as a laboratory technician for 18 years before being selected to attend the Physician's Assistant course at the School of Health Care Sciences in West Texas/University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He practiced as a PA in the USAF until 1984 at which time he accepted a PA position in the Little Rock VA Hospital, Surgical Service. He co-authored several medical articles, created several clinics, while caring for patients. He retired from the Veteran's Administration in June 2002.
He and Nancy moved to Saint Louis, Missouri in January 2011 to be close to their daughter, Susan, as Nancy was entering advanced Alzheimer's and Lewy body dementia.
Services: A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Church of St. Michael & St. George, Wydown at Ellenwood, Clayton, Missouri on Sat., June 1 at 1 p.m. Following the service, Gordon and Nancy's cremains will be placed in the columbarium at the Church of St. Michael & St. George. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alzheimer's or Lewy Body organizations would be greatly appreciated.

I want to resubmit this entry. I've settled down now. Gordon, brought Nancy to meet Dorothy at the Whole Hog Cafe, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I met Nancy earlier. We enjoyed ourselves, that evening.

Gordon worked with my future wife Dorothy on 4C. Nancy went with Gordon to meet Dorothy and the Whole Hog Cafe, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. I was honored to call both him and Nancy my friends.

I met Gordon the John L. McClellan VA Hospital, in Little Rock, Arkansas, in the mid 1990s. As a fellow freelance photographer, he and I, would discuss taking pictures. He shot my ordination in 1996 and didn't charge me for it.

I loved Mr Yoder when I was at The Gstesworth He would come into my office and we would have great conversations.
