Gloria Rosenbloom Obituary

Rosenbloom, Gloria Juanita Abbington

March 12, 1931 - October 11, 2025

Gloria Juanita Abbington Rosenbloom - Born March 12, 1931 and passed away on October 11, 2025.

Dear daughter of the late Wilrene Scales and the late David Abbington. Beloved wife of the late Rabbi Joseph Rosenbloom. Dear stepmother of Deborah and Dena and the late Eve. Loving step-grandmother of Aaron Rosenbloom-Snow, Lia Rosenbloom and Alicia Pullen. Dear friend of Sabrina Lampkin-Mack and a devoted supporter of Temple Emanuel in St. Louis.

Gloria attended St. Louis public schools, including Sumner High School. She attended Harris Teacher's College where she received her bachelor's degree. She went on to St. Louis University and received her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Philosophy with a major in Education. She was a teacher, a professor, and an administrator. Few loved educating children as much as Dr. Abbington Rosenbloom.

Gloria was a fiercely independent woman who lived strongly by her principles. She was a loving individual who was open to other viewpoints and ways of life, always eager to listen to what someone had to say. She will be sorely missed and was revered and loved by many people.

Private funeral services were held. Contributions in her memory may be made to Temple Emanuel or to the child education charity of your choice.
