Haley Stevens Obituary

Stevens, Haley Elise (Glock) Haley Elise Stevens, 17, lost her courageous two-year battle with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease, on September 3, 2009. Haley was born on January 3, 1992, in Springfield, MO. Haley was an active member of the Springfield theatre scene and an inexhaustible member of the Central High School student body. She performed in her first play in second grade, was a part of productions at Vandivort and Springfield Little Theatre, and had been a member of almost every Central theatre performance for the last eight years. Haley loved choir, dance, comedy and was a proud member of the Central Kilties. Haley was also an active member at Hope Community Church. Haley is survived by a mother and step-father, Gretchen Glock Teague and Shawn Teague, Springfield; father and step- mother, Matt and LaDonna Stevens, Springfield; a brother, Zachary Teague; three step- sisters, Ashley, Ericka and Erin; grandparents Edgar and Susan Glock, St. Louis; grandparents Margaret and Larry Teague, Springfield; and great-grandmother Lucille Teague, Salem; a large extended family; and hundreds of admiring friends. Preceding in her passing is her grandmother Eleanor Glock. Services: A celebration of Haley's life will be held on Saturday, September 12, in Hope Community Church, 2121 S. Blackman Rd., Springfield, MO at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Keith Worthington Chapter of the ALS Association in Springfield, 1721 W. Elfin- dale St., Ste. 101, Springfield, MO, 65807 or 417-886-5003. Haley's bright life and brave struggle are an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She is loved and missed, and will always be cherished as a beautiful daughter, sister and friend.

Haley was one of my closest friends! i miss her so much! Haley tiffany and I always hung out. We was inseperable.I love and miss Haley so much but i know she is in heaven smiling down at us. I think that Haley has showed me a new way to look at the world. She was so strong and beautiful and she held on for so long! I LOVE YOU HALEY BABY!!!

Haley was a great friend of mine.. I miss her so much, I moved away from springfeild 3 years ago. And I missed Haley with all my heart. When I learnded she past away I cried al weekend, she is someone that changed how I see the world. There will never be another one quit like her. Haley is and always will be my best friend

Our sincere sympathy to all of Haley's family,We never got to meet her in person but she was the cousin we loved and admired for her courage, and know she is another angel in heaven singing and dancing and we will always love her dearly. She is in no pain now and is doing what she done best, looking over her family
