Joan and I just learned of Harvard's passing. He was one of Fredrich Hecker's great grandsons and funded the German American Heritage Society's annual crystal "Fredrich Hecker Freedom Award" for the past 23 years. Each year he is recognized for his sposorship of the award which is presented to an individual or organization for “promulgation of cooperation and understanding between Germany and the United States.”
Harvard's memory and German heritage will continue to be recognized and honored every year.

Best regards,
Lansing & Joan Hecker
