Uncle Herman was a fabulous uncle! He loved playing with us and he was more than kind. He spent hours making butter pictures on our bread -- for his five nieces and nephews! He ran the spelunking club at the school he taught at for many years. He even took the nieces and nephews spelunking in a cave where we all had to wear hard hats! He loved his wife Blanche who may have the biggest and best smile you would ever find. May peace be with him. He will be missed.

Johnny, Wade, Russell, Derek and to your families, I am sorry to hear of the passing of Herman. I hope he left this earth in peace and know that he was welcomed in his new life by so many that he influenced, taught, befriended and that loved him. A gentle and kind man. Praying for his soul and those who will miss him.

Uncle Herman has always been a person of great joy. When I was a young boy, I so looked forward to Uncle Herman coming over. He would play and joke around with a big, big smile on his face. He always was ready to be present in the moment.
He maintained that amazing smile throughout his life. Even when he was not feeling well, he would smile to pass on his care for others. He will be deeply missed.
