I was just recently made aware of Jim's passing and I wish to express my sincerest sympathy. Jim and I were friends in high school and peformed in musicals together. Though we hadn't seen each other for many years, I remember our friendship fondly and will always remember him as a friendly, caring, sweet, handsome and gentle man.

Dear Unger Family,
Jim was a regular at the Courthouse Cafe in Waterloo, IL. He came in every single Saturday morning for breakfast before starting his day and I always enjoyed serving and speaking with him. He liked to share his progress with the remodeling of his "man cave" as he would call it. I was very shocked to hear of his passing and I will definitely miss seeing his smiling face every Saturday morning. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. His friendly waitress,

Jim was a real gentleman and I worked closely with him more than 10 years when I was a civilian. He'll be greatly missed by many... I am glad we hugged the last time I saw him (one or two months ago).

In memory of Jim

It is with many tears for Jim and his dear family that I write this. I came to know “Jimmy” when he was just a little tyke (3 years old) and what a precious and lively little guy he was. He stole his Uncle Kim’s and my heart, as he did so many others. I am sorry that we didn’t have more time together in later years because of time and distance.

Jim will be sadly missed, but he is with God in heaven now…and probably having a heavenly brew with his beloved Dad, Gigi and Popo, reminiscing about fun times at Rocky Ridge.

My sincere condolences to the family; my prayers, thoughts and many memories are with you. May God bless you and give you His peace.

Dear Unger Family,

It is with great sorrow that I write this note. Jim was a wonderful friend, with a great heart. We very much enjoyed our vacations with him to Mexico and St. Maarten and we will miss his great smile. May God bless you in your time of sorrow.

Dear Unger Family,

It is with shock that I view the name of Jim here. My sympathy to all of you his dear family. Jim was a grade school freind that I think of from time to time with great admiration. He was a true gentleman always and a kind soul. May Almighty God grant you His Peace, Love, Comfort and Strength during this most difficult time. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Know also that Jim is now basquing in the Presence of the Almighty as he experiences the mansion prepaired for him by Christ Himself and awaits all of us whom he loved. God Bless and keep all of you.

Dear Unger Family,
We are truly saddened by the sudden loss of Jim. Not only was he a valued team member, he was our friend. I’ve worked closely with Jim for nearly 10 years and he certainly was the “go to“ guy around here. I’ll miss hearing of his vacations in Mexico and dance night in Columbia. Please know we will be praying for you in the days ahead. May God's blessings be with you at this time of sorrow.
