Jan Nelson Obituary
Nelson, Jan Nicholas
died on December 13, 2020 at the age of 92 after a long illness. Beloved wife of Roger Nelson for 68 years; devoted mother of Stephen James Nelson, Michael Paul Nelson and Julie Nelson Manuele; grandmother of nine, great-grandmother of 12 (so far) loving and loved ones.
She loved God/Jesus, faithfully and humbly served and was blessed by him as Bible Study Fellowship Leader and church visitor at Barnes Hospital. She established a tutoring program for young students at Hamilton Elementary School and served as a Stephen's Minister for 20 years.
She loved her family, friends, church, bridge, downhill skiing, dancing, gardening, tennis and traveling. She patiently and courageously dealt with her Alzheimer's disease. She will be greatly missed.
Services: A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Delta Gamma Center for Visually Impaired Children, 1750 S. Big Bend Blvd., Richmond Heights, MO 63117 or Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church, 9450 Clayton Rd., 63124. www.boppchapel.com
