Janice Rana Obituary

Rana, Janice A. (nee Wolford), December 22, 2006. Beloved wife of Dr. M. Waheed-uz-Zaman Rana; loving mother of Dr. Jamil (Fazila) Rana of Glen Carbon, IL, Aneesa Rana Schmidt and Omar Z. (Jamie) Rana of Oakville, MO and Nadia Jehan Rana of St. Louis, MO.; cherished grandmother of Amanda Rana Schmidt, Nadim Rana and Eman Rana. Born in Newark, OH in 1942, educated at Olivet College (MI), she was a resident of South St. Louis Co. MO since 1968. She had the pleasure of devoting her life to her family, after teaching in St. Clair Shores, MI in the 1960's. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darwin and Evelyn Wolford, who resided with her in St. Louis from 1997-2002.Services: Mrs. Rana's burial will be Wed. Dec. 27, in Our Redeemer Cemetery, Affton, MO. The family would appreciate contributions to research in hepatitis and leukemia.

May I offer my deepest condolences. I knew Janice from our early school days in East Newark. I remember her bright intelligence and wonderful sense of humor. A sad loss, indeed.
