Jason McKay Obituary

McKay, Jason Allen

August 18, 1996 - February 23, 2025

Jason Allen McKay, 28, died on February 23, 2025, in St. Louis Missouri.

Born on August 18, 1996, Jason was raised in the St. Charles area and a 2015 graduate of Francis Howell North High School. He continued his education at St. Charles Community College. Jason was an Assistant Manager at Quick Trip where he was known for his dedication and work ethic.

Jason was a kind, beautiful, and generous person who brought joy to those around him. He enjoyed staying active and spending time outdoors- bicycling, playing frisbee golf, baseball, basketball and soccer were among his favorite pastimes.

He is lovingly remembered by his parents, David and Sandra McKay, his sister Kristina and by many who knew him as a beloved nephew, cousin and friend. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roger and Lucy Goolsby; John and Lorraine McKay; his uncles Roger Goolsby, John McKay Jr. and Michael McKay.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10 a.m., on April 26, 2025, at St. Cletus Church, 2705 Zumbehl Rd., St. Charles, MO 63301.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention), the Missouri chapter, would be appreciated.

Jason was a really sweet guy who loved all kinds of outdoor sports. Mostly he loved his Mom and sister. We are so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for your family. Jason is always with you everyday even though not physically. May your memories and love always bring you through your grief. Remember how much he loved you all. Knowing his Mom Sandy, Jason had to be an awesome son. I am sure that Jason is at Peace and riding his bike, etc. with all the other angels and always watching over and sending protection to his entire family. God Bless You all. My continued Prayers are with you Sandy and your daughter and entire family, Always!
