Grigaitis Jr., John J. fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church left this world on October 28, 2011, 88years and 1-day after entering it. His beautiful bride of 64-years, Shirlene (nee Marlotte), as well as many of his 10 children were at his side in his home when he went peacefully; father of Gina, Stephen (Helen), Michael (Mary Jo), John (Marla), Rick (Heidi), David (Shelly), Gregg (Sharon), Christina (Gery), Kimberly (David), Jennifer (Brent); grandfather of 29; great-grandfather of 3. Preceded in death by father John, mother Helen (Bubnis); brother of William and the late Edward and Bertha; brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Graduate of St. John the Baptist Class of 1941. Served in WWII in the Pacific Theater. Jr. Football League coach for many years. Retiree from Southwestern Bell. He was a wonderful man who lived and worked for his family. Above all else, he was most proud of his wife and every one of his children and grandchildren. Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Wed. Nov. 2, 9:30 AM to Our Lady of Providence Catholic Church for 10:00 AM mass. Interment National Cemetery. Masses or contributions to Propagation of the Faith or Our Lady of Providence Building Fund. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM.
