Dear family of Father Uvietta,
Father Uvietta was a very dear friend. We attended his 4:00 Mass at Chesterfield Villas mo-st Saturdays. We also shared many meals together for birthdays, holidays, etc. Father Uvietta also married our younger daughter, Gina and Joe Dougherty at Ascension's little church in Chesterfield. We miss Father Uvietta very much.
God bless your family.

Father Uvietta was such a beautiful soul. He had this ability to reach out and try to make you feel Christ' love. He never gave up on coming into seeing me to make sure I was okay. He never expected anything in return except knowing he was a big comfort. He lived a BIG life of loving people. Our Lord has a new Angel. May he be remembered for his love.

Father Joe was such a ray of hope when he said mass on Saturdays at Chesterfield Villas!! He would have my dad do the readings, something he looked forward to every week. Bless your family!

Anyone who knew Fr. Joe knew he expressed the caring and concern of Christ in all his relationships.

As a Religion Teacher, he "Walked the Talk." He lived his Catholic-Marianist faith as a living example to us all.

He was a lifelong loyal friend to all whom he met and befriended. Our lives were enriched and blessed by his holy presence.

May his soul rest in the Peace of Christ and love and light of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
