Although I did not know Jo Ellyn, I do know her daughter Carrie and the rest of the Pepperdine family. I know how much Jo Ellyn was loved by Carrie and can only imagine what a wonderful mother, friend and person she was as it is reflected in the wonderful mother, friend and person that Carrie is. Please know that our love and sympathy extend accross the miles to all that loved Jo Ellyn.

What Does A Wife & Mother Means......A Wife & Mother mean so many things.....An understanding heart; a source of strength and support right from the very start....A constant readiness to help in a kind and thoughtful way; with encouragement and forgiveness, no matter what comes your way. A special generosity and always affectionate words to say; A Wife & Mother mean so many things especially when she does all she can to lead her children as a Godly woman. We know that it's hard to accept death no matter when it comes, but we know that God does all things well and that He knows what's best. At a time when words are so hard to find... know that you are cared for very deeply and loved greatly by so many. While we may feel helpless at times in knowing how to comfort you, the Lord knows exactly what you need. He will minister peace and comfort to you in many unexpected ways. He will walk with you through the coming days. God has said, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you."(Hebrews 13:5.) To John & the entire bereaved family of Mrs. Josephine Ellyn Hoffmann, know that our prayers are with you during this difficult time. May the Lord comfort you with His peace…surround you with His presence…and encourage you with His love.

Dearest Deb and extended Hoffman family,
I am so grateful for the gift of Jo Ellyn in my life! She was a wonderful woman and I appreciated the smile she always greeted me with and her fast talking from Wisconsin that was so hard for me to follow along. She was such a role model for me that I not only pray but I moved to her homeland to learn to talk faster! She also blessed me with your lovely family of sisters I never had to share with - except that dorm room with Debbie. She always made me feel special. Her life was blessed and she knew it. She loved so many as we each loved her. Although I miss her already, thinking of her at peace with Perpetual Light shining all around her makes me smile like a little Leprechaun from up nort. :) Blessings of peace to each of you.
