I love you and miss you more than I can say. God gave me the greatest gift when he let me be your granddaughter. I think of you each day and miss your beautiful smile. Father's day I was reminded of all of the silly things you did and your great sence of humor. I know you will watch over us as we wait to meet you in Heaven.

Dad I am so proud to be your daughter. It was an honor to have been there to help take care of you this past week.I'm sorry that Sandy and I had to tossle you around, but we got the job done, right? And we did get some good laughs about our lack of nursing skills. Keep the light on, I'll be seeing you in a Blink of an eye. "Romans 8:18-19 For the suffering of this present time is nothing to be compared to the Glory that God will reveal to us.For all creation is waiting patiently and hopefully for that future day when God will ressurrect his children.
Terry, Kim, Jodi and I have been blessed by your life and guidance. We carry you in our hearts and minds forever.

To all the friends and family of my dad and the American Legion, AmVets and the Fleet Reserve,Thank you for honoring him today.

Dad was a quiet man of great strength and compassion and all the pomp and circumstance of the last two days may have embarrassed him. But it was richly deserved.

To grandson Del Barton and son-in law Terry Kelly, Thank you for leading the service in honor and memory of our dad. No one could speak to the memory of Chief Joe Lee better than those who knew and loved him. Mary and I are honored that the two of you assumed that role. I know dad is proud of you both and thankful for your words comfort.

To my wife, Mary, thank you for taking care of mom & dad. Thank you most of all for taking care of me. Before he met you, dad asked me if I loved you and if you made me happy. Things he never talked about. From the minute I said yes, he loved you and adopted you you as his daughter. He trusted your wisdom and judgment, and he loved you as I do.

To my brother Bill, I know this has been an especially hard time for you. You're still grieving the loss of the the love of your life Linda. But you stepped up and did all that needed to be done.

To my sisters, thank you for all your caring and all that you've done in this difficult time.

Michele, the baby, what would we have done without you. Time for you to rest. Let your family take care of you for a while.

Nurse Sandy, I know that god sent you to be here at the right time and the right place. No one could do what you have done. You made dad's last days a joy. Your dedication and undying good humor has eased our burden knowing that dad was in your capable hands. You helped us all to remain sane and remember what was important. You never forgot to take care of mom. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel in my heart. Just remember, 12:00 Straight-up. The rest is on you.

Jim, thank you for lending us your wife. Your sacrifice has has not gone unnoticed. I just hope you haven't gained to much weight eating T. V. Dinners!

I can't tell you how much the love and support of family and friends has meant to me & Mary.

To my beloved dad, thank you for teaching me what it means to be,a man, a Husband, and a father. I am proud of you and proud to be your son. I pray that I will be granted the strength to carry on your legacy. In closing;
I want to wish you: Fair winds,following seas and God's speed.
