Vehige, SSND, Sr. Lucy, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025. Beloved by relatives, friends, classmates, Sisters in Community and SSND Associates.
Services: Visitation/prayer service will be held at The Sarah Community, 12284 DePaul Dr. Bridgeton, MO 63044, December 16, at 2:30-3:30pm, in the Marian Chapel.
Funeral mass will be held, Wed. December 17, at Theresa Center Chapel, 320 East Ripa Ave., St. Louis, MO 63125 with visitation at 10:00am, sharing of memories at 10:45am and mass at 11:15am. Interment at Sancta Maria in Ripa Cemetery. A service of Kutis Funeral Home, City Chapel.

Sr. Lucy was a joy to know and work with at Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. I volunteered there from 2016 until the pandemic curtailed my services, but working with Sr. Lucy was sheer enjoyment. She had a marvelous sense of humor and we shared many a laugh over the silliest things. She also was very knowledgeable in the Human Resources arena and was the glue that kept the department together. Sr. Lucy...you will be sorely missed. But the gates of Heaven have been opened for you and I know the loving Lord is telling all the choirs of angels and saints, "Here comes Sr. Lucy. Let the party begin". May God bless!
