We called her G.G. for Great Grandma, she was thrilled to be part of 4 generations interacting on a daily basis. She loved people, being in the great out- of- doors and having an adventure. She looked at each day as a gift and the love she had for her family kept her going. An active person, she walked at least 3 miles a day, read books on the Best Seller List and books that seem obscure-she welcomed new insights and ideas.
Her sudden passing was just her wish, "Take me in my sleep, Lord" was her idea of a perfect departure but now I know how difficult that avenue really is for those of us who love her and can barely comprehend she's gone without notice.
Mom, we're happy you're on your new adventure in heaven and know you will cherish every detail, just as you cherished your life here on earth.
I miss our daily conversations, trips to the store and Dr,'s visits, just running around - I miss you , Mom. You'll have so much to catch me up on when we meet again.
You are precious.

I found Grandma (Madelyn) downstairs and asleep watching TV early in the morning of March 6th. Didn't notice the classic signs of a stroke that she displayed. I turned up the heat in the house for her and don't believe she experienced any pain that I could detect.
March 10th we had a memorial service for her that was well attended and greatly appreciated.
We wish her the best and will miss her.
Jim (son) RIP 3/11/08
