Harrison Scott Obituary

Scott, Harrison B. 92, St. Louis, died Sun- day, Oct. 28, 2018 at The Bridge Assisted Living Facility in Florissant, MO. A celebration of his life will be on Saturday, Nov. 3rd at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Maplewood. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a service following. Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery. Harrison was born on March 6, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri, graduated from Maplewood High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 6/2/44 to 5/20/46 where he received the Navy Unit Commendation for his service on the U.S.S. St. Louis. He later married his high school sweetheart on July 19, 1946 at Concordia Lutheran Church. He joined Cupples Products on June 15, 1953 and worked there until his retirement in 1986 as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Engineering. During this time he was a member of the National Evening College Honor Society, Alpha Sigma Lambda and graduated on December 21st, 1978 with a B.S. degree. He is preceded in death by parents, James and Clara Scott, his wife Vivian (Kelly) Scott, his sisters Louise Yourtee and Alice Morgeneier, his brother James Junior Scott, and his special friend Janice Piersol. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, uncle, grand-uncle and friend.
