I remember when Marty was an internal medicine resident at NOH. Did a good job then and a good physician thereafter. A good legacy.

We are so saddened to have just learned of Dr Schwarze´s death. He was an amazing doctor who had a tremendous impact on our lives, but he allowed himself to be known as even more than that, as a friend and an advisor. The world was a better place because he was in it. Our sympathy and condolences are extended to his family.

Our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Schwarze´s family. He was a great heart doctor because he had a huge heart. Marty was a kind, gentle and fantastic caregiver. He was as comfortable talking to me about my healthcare as he was talking to me about farming. We shared a love of the land and country. He is missed by all. Now he is with our Heavenly Father and we all have a wonderful new angel in heaven.

I´m so very sorry to hear about Dr. Schwarze. I became a patient of his in November 2020 - he and Dr. Trimmer saved my life. Dr. Schwarze was the BEST doctor - always so kind and caring. I enjoyed talking to him about politics, the heart and his experience over the years. I just saw him recently on November 7th. I am still so shocked and saddened by what happened. He was a true blessing to his patients. I will always remember him.

My heart goes out to his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

How lucky was I to have you do the test on me that I needed when I was in the hospital in September! I was a nervous wreck until I found out that you were doing it. I've been meaning to send you a thank you note but alas, I have waited too long. You were a fantastic doctor and always made time to talk with me. I will miss you so very much. Rest in peace my dear doctor.

My family will never forget him or be able to repay him. I was having a fairly routine test when he was monitoring several rooms if patients. A nurse came in asking him to check something. He said, "I'm not leaving this room." As a result of his meticulous care I have watched a granddaughter grow up for the last 9 years. He may have done this every day, year in, year out. His life was a great gift to many, this stranger included.

Please accept my condolences to his family, friends and associates. My memories of Marty are mostly as a boy before age 12. Quiet and smart, he showed a special kindness to his classmates. Most memorably, he was protected at home by two very big and gentle St. Bernard dogs. Marty and I shared a love of cars from a very early age, especially the family´s 1954 Buick Skylark. My neighbor had a twin Skylark and whenever one was seen in South St. Louis, you never knew which one it might be. Marty´s mother was in the faster Buick.
