Mary Keating Obituary

Keating, Mary Pitcairn on January 19, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Ambassador Kenneth B. Keating, Brigadier General USA, United States Senator from New York, and United States Ambassador to Israel; the late Wendell Davis, prominent New York attorney; and the late William H. Jackson, Deputy Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. She is survived by two sons Bruce P. Jackson of Washington, D.C. and Howell E. Jackson of Newton, Massachusetts and two grandchildren, Henry V. Jackson and Rebecca H. Jackson. Mrs. Keating was the daughter of the late Norman B. Pitcairn and Mary Leet Pitcairn of St. Louis; sister of the late Ruth Pitcairn James (Mrs. T. Frank James, Jr.) and the late Norman B. Pitcairn, Jr. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, step-children, step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren. She attended Mary Institute, Master School for Girls, Dobbs Ferry, NY, and Mount Holyoke College.Services: A memorial service will be held in the Princeton University Chapel, Princeton, NJ on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made to the Princeton University Art Museum, Princeton, NJ.
