Dear Family, My sympathies to you. I hope by me sharing a few words here, that it some how eases your loss and benefits your memories. I took lessons from Mike from 2011 -12 at Drum Hdqtrs and his home. He was so passionate and knowledgeable and shared it freely. He recorded some demo songs of my band in his studio. Now those songs take on a special meaning for me. I saw him play live with Abby Road Warriors and was very impressed and everyone had so much fun. He acquired his congas from me and I was so happy that they were in such good hands. I liked Mike a lot and he was always very kind to me. I am saddened in his passing.

Our deepest condolences to Mike's family. I was Mike's best friend. Ok, I know what you all are saying, No, I was Mike's best friend and that's the point......Mike made so many people feel like they were the most important person in the world. Mike touched so many lives and we are all better for it. RIP my dear friend.

Dear Family of Michael Ehrhard,
I never had the pleasure of meeting and listening to Michael in person, but I did correspond briefly with him after his friend Barry G. expressed concern about his health. That's when I found out he was a well known drummer - I told him that my husband (recently deceased)- also a well known musician had left some material that he (Michael) might be able to use and that he could have as an offering as well as the prayers sent to the Father in his behalf. He wrote me back and said that he had all that he needed and then some (smile) but appreciated the offer and the prayers.
I thought that was very sweet of him to acknowledge that so graciously.
May all the family and friends take comfort in the fact that he is now at rest from pain of all sorts.

To Kathy & Mike's family & friends: we at Faith UMC were truly blessed to watch & hear Mike play at our church on Sunday mornings these last few years. His passion for music & for the Lord came thru every time we were blessed with his presence. He has been missed these last few months & will be missed, he made an impact on each one of us at Faith with his God given talent. Thank you Kathy & family for sharing him with all of us, his Faith UMC family. May God's love surround you with the love of your family & friends at this time & know we are grieving and missing him with you. May you hold his wonderful memories close & share them often. I am heartbroken and devastated to learn of the passing of the great Mike Ehrhard. I recorded for the better part of a year at Sidetrack in the early 2000s, and my wife Laura and I were blessed to have his band play at our 2004 wedding. Our most sincere condolences to Mike's family. We pray for all of you on the loss of such a great human being.

Though its been decades, I have many memories of Mikes gentle nature and sense of humor. I knew him as a good, decent man with an intense analytical fervor for drums and drumming. I know he will be missed terribly by family, musical colleagues and many former students he taught so diligently.

Mike has been my friend for over 40 years. We worked together in the band SHAKER in the 1980's. You will be hard pressed to find a better musician or devoted friend than this man. I am deeply saddened by the passing of this beautiful soul. R.I.P. Dear Mickey.
