Noetzel, Michael Justin, M.D.
At the age of 70, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022 in St. Louis, surrounded by his wife and children, due to complications from a heart attack earlier in the week. Deeply committed to his patients, colleagues and family, Michael spent his entire 45-year career as a Pediatric Neurologist at St. Louis Children's Hospital and Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary; sons Justin (Janine) and Evan (Julia); daughters Anna (Anthony) and Katy; eight grandchildren; four siblings; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Services: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 7316 Balson Ave. at Purdue Ave., University City on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at Lupton Chapel, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to organizations that held important significance in Michael's life:

Mike and I were teammates at Yale a long, long time ago(!). My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
But to all of you who are sad for his passing, just look at what he accomplished and what he did to help others! How wonderful is that? Look at what he meant to you!
Be happy for that. Be happy for the memories.
I hate to say it; be glad you're sad. Think how wonderful it has been to know him. Man, if more of us could do what he did...

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Noetzel. Thirty one years ago he cared for my infant son who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Dr noetzel was kind, caring and we felt like he was with us throughout the entire journey. We have never forgotten him! Peace to your family:

Dr. Noetzel was our daughter's doctor and was so special to her. She looked forward to seeing him every month and his smiling face. So sorry to read of his passing. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. He was a wonderful man and doctor.
