Mildred Skinner Obituary

Skinner, Mildred M.88, of Fort Myers, died September 18, 2005.
'Millie' was born April 18, 1917, near Wet Winfield, NY, a daughter of Glenn Faye and Fannie (Larrabee) Monroe. She graduated from West Winfield Central High School and the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing, Schenechtady, NY. She married Thomas Franklin Skinner Jr., on June 28, 1940, in West Winfield. A long time resident of Kirkwood, MO; she moved to Ft. Myers in 1976 where she was active in the Continental Club, Whisky Creek Garden Club and numerous card groups. She was a member of the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church.
Millie is surivved by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Jay and Dianna Skinner of Ft. Myers; daughter and son-in-law, Jana S. and Dave Gerges of Berwyn, PA; son and daughter-in-law, Steven Glenn and Katherine Skinner of Westort, CT; nephew, Kernan Cross and family, Jane and Jacob of Boothbay Harbor, ME; grandchildren, Jeffrey Skinner, Eric Skinner, Heather Wetterneck (Matt), Brian Gerges, Tim Gerges, Ryan Skinner, Owen Skinner and Morgan Skinner. She was predeceased by Thomas, her husband of 37 years and sister, Laura M. Cross of Cooperstown, NY.Services:Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at the KISER Funeral Home, 9231 Cypress Lake Drive. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday in the chapel of the Cypress Lake United Methodist Church, 8570 Cypress Lake Drive, followed by interment at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be sent to Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908. KISER Funeral Home, 239-481-4341.
