McNett, Patricia Rarick
March 7, 1941 - November 4, 2025
Patricia "Patty" Rarick McNett, 84, passed away peacefully on November 4th in Scottsdale, AZ after a courageous four-year battle with cancer. She was born March 7th, 1941 to James E. Rarick and Bernice M. "Beanie" Rarick in St. Louis. She grew up in St. Louis and attended Community School and John Burroughs School and then the University of Colorado. It was there that she met Glenn "Bud" McNett, the love of her life, and would spend the next 65 years together. They married in 1960 and moved back to St. Louis where they raised their family until retiring to Arizona in 2000
As the daughter of one of the founders of Old Warson Country Club, Patty and Bud spent a major part of their adult lives at Old Warson and developed many close friendships that have lasted throughout their lives. Patty played and became a very adept bridge player as well as years of tennis and golf at Old Warson. They also enjoyed family ski trips to Snowmass, Colorado every year. Patty and Bud also traveled the world with close friends on the People to People Tennis program for several years. Patty also became more interested and competitive in golf in the 1990's leading to widespread travel with friends on memorable golf trips. Patty's favorite place growing up and throughout her adult life was Northern Michigan, first at Torch Lake and then Northport Point for the last 50 years. She loved to swim in Torch Lake and Lake Michigan and spend summers with family and friends.
Patty also volunteered her time for many causes including John Burroughs School on both the Alumni Board and the Board of Trustees in the 1980's.
Patty was always kind, supportive, devoted, sincere, and fun-loving as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She is survived by her husband Bud, son Scott McNett (Alexandra) St. Louis, MO; daughter Kelly McNett St. Simons Island, GA; daughter Meegan McRoberts (John) Birmingham, MI; grandchildren Michael McNett, Genevieve "Vivi" McNett, John "Mac" McRoberts, Lyda McRoberts, and Josephine "Josie" McRoberts. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Rarick.
