Patrick Jue Obituary

Jue, Patrick Andrew 32, of St. Louis, MO passed away unexpectedly, December 24, 2018. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Sandra Jue, sister Christine (Patrick Canterbury) Jue, brother Russell FeltonJue (Leslie), all of Boise, ID. Born July 21, 1986 in Boise, after high school he attended the University of California, Berkeley graduating in 2004 with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree with emphasis in Social Media. Hired by the Department of Defense, he moved to St. Louis to begin work at NGA in 2013. Always interested in community service, he raised funds for Cure SMA and Paraquad, joined their gym and, later, their Board of Directors. Helped start the Friendship Club for persons with disabilities at his church. He made cards for all occasions including a Thank You card used by NGA. Video games reflected his passion for WWII. Quickwitted with a wry sense of humor, his quiet determination and confidence increased at NGA with the support of mentors and coworkers. It culminated with his work trip to Hawaii and being awarded, at the Pentagon, as one of DoD's outstanding disabled employees. He touched many lives and will be missed. Services: Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 5th, 11 a.m., South County Bible Church, 4111 Von Talge Rd., St. Louis, MO, 63128. In lieu of flowers you may donate to Paraquad.org, Health and Wellness Center, using the homepage link.

I have no doubt that Patrick is present this holiday season. Trying to make his presence known to his family, friends, loved ones I hope that they are able to see him in all the small things that he loved or shared with them as they come to mind That is him trying to make his presence known.

He’s not gone. We never leave. We only transition to a different state. From our physical to our spirit form.

If a song comes to mind or a phrase in a movie or some thing on a sign or anything in your daily life that happens to remind you of Patrick Know that he is with you in that moment.

He had a huge heart and I have no doubt he would want to ease any grieving that his family has this season and he would do it in whatever way that he could. He would want his family to feel his love and feel his presence.

And instead of being sad for the loss to celebrate the life he lived. But even more so to know that he will never miss a milestone. He still knows what’s going on. He’s not missing a thing. He’s right there with all of you.

Just as I’m guessing he’s right here with me giving me these words to share with you. If you sense his presence don’t second-guess it, embrace it and acknowledge him. He will continue to walk with you until you join him on the other side.

Sending much love to his family and loved ones on this holiday season. ❤

I first met Patrick when he was 7 years old. I was part of his resource team during his elementary years. I read all the things Patrick's co-workers and adult friends have written about him and I saw all those same traits when he was a young boy: wry sense of humor, patience, brilliance, kindness and an inspiration to his classmates and teachers. I just heard Oprah Winfrey say that your legacy is not a name on a building or a street, but rather your legacy is what you do every day to make someone's life better. Patrick, you left quite a legacy. You touched so many in so many ways. I feel, honored to be a part of that legacy. Your spirit will continue to inspire us.

Patrick was sweet, smart, and had a quick wit that would catch you off guard. He always made me smile. His strong spirit and determination preceded him into any room. He was in no way diminished by his physical challenges. If anything that made him larger than life. I am so sad to hear of his passing. And I'm thankful to have known him. He was a beautiful soul who left his mark.

Patrick, I will miss your beautiful spirit. I enjoyed seeing you and your dad at work--it always put a smile on my face to see you both in the halls when I lived in St. Louis. You were such a kind, sharp person who will greatly be missed. I am sending my thoughts, prayers, and love to your parents, family and friends.

Patrick was a very bright light in this dark world. He was a Soldier who never EVER complained about any of his frustrations or physical limitations. I worked side by side with this man. He was wise beyond his years, funny, clever, witty, SMART, loving, kind, God fearing, patient and FUN!!! He truly was a genuinely great listener who always knew exactly how to comfort you with his kind words and gentle soul. Bob and Sandy I know the heartache you have, this is a pain that no one should ever feel. Patrick knew in his heart he was going to be in Paradise and at peace one day. You both were fantastic, selfless parents who provided a wonderful life filled with adventures every day for him!!!❤
