It would be great for a film to get made recounting Steve & Peggy's life of adventure. Would keep them alive for the next generation. They'll be in MY heart for as long as I live. Were dear friends.

Hello, my name is Dan Hartley and I'm a documentary filmmaker from the UK. I hope Peggy's friends and loved ones who have shared messages here, won't mind me including this message. I've long admired Steve's many incredible achievements, of which I'm sure Peggy was perhaps his greatest! and I want to make a film about Steve and Peggy so that a whole new generation of people learn about the many incredible records that he broke, and love that he shared with Peggy. If you feel that you can support this endeavor please drop me an email on [email protected] or phone +44 7887 548640, Thanks Dan

I have fond childhood memories of Peggy´s family when they lived in Hanley Downs behind my grandparents time there (1945-1974). My brother and sister were close to her age. I´m a 1955 model. Such a small world and to have memories that never fade...wish I´d known Peggy as an adult.

I miss our lunches & catch-up time when Peggy came to Chicago. As we get older, it's sad to lose dear friends. Guess I'll have to think about meeting up on the other side.

Peggy & I were friends for 40+ years. Over those years, we took lapidary classes together; and cooking classes; we hiked, laughed, lunched, traded recipes. I'll miss her.
My husband & I met the Fossetts when they advertised a margay for sale in the Exotic Pets section of the Tribune. They'd brought it back from a trip to the Amazon. Steve had planned to tame it but that didn't work out. He was ever the adventurer. And Peggy indulged all those adventures.
They're together forever now.
