Randa Mirbaha Obituary

Mirbaha, Randa Marie McCombs

August 22, 1941 - March 22, 2026

Randa Marie McCombs Mirbaha was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 22, 1941, and lived a life defined by kindness, warmth and a genuine love for people.

While pursuing her nursing career, she met a handsome and young Intern Physician by the name of Mitchell Mirbaha at St. Louis City Hospital. That chance meeting turned into a love story that lasted more than sixty-four years. They were married on October 20, 1962, and eventually made their home in St. Louis, Missouri, where they raised their family and built a life filled with love.

Randa was a devoted and proud mother to Robert (Gail) Mirbaha, Patricia (Mike) Hylla, Marjon (Brian) Faivre, and Daniel (Natalie) Mirbaha. Randa absolutely adored her grandchildren-Richard, Jack, Kathryn, Joseph, Martina, Sarah Rose, Leila, Andrew, Ruby and Axel. She found so much joy in being their grandmother.

For over twenty-five years, Randa served as a school nurse in the Lindbergh School District, primarily at Kennerly Elementary School. She did not just "work" as a nurse-she lived it and loved it. She cared deeply for every child that walked through her door, offering comfort, reassurance and a calm presence that so many came to rely on.

Outside of school, Randa continued caring for others as a volunteer for The Red Cross and a volunteer nurse for The Fox Theatre. She enjoyed this tremendously.

But more than anything, Randa will be remembered for how she made people feel. She had a beautiful genuine smile, the kindest eyes, a soft and comforting voice and a way of making everyone feel valued and special. Whether you were family or friends or someone she had just met, Randa had a gift for connecting with people in a way that stayed with you.

She was an incredible wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother and a loyal friend.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Simply stated, Randa was the kindest person ever.

God Bless you Mom, we all love you so much.

A private service will be held with her family.
