Richard Kienlen Obituary

Kienlen, Richard Leroy Age 81, of Oakville, passed away on November 27, 2014. Born October 20, 1933 to George and Margaret (nee Dunsford) Kienlen in St. Louis, MO. Husband of the late Sharon (nee Aden) Kienlen. He is survived by his three daughters, Leslie (Mark) Rigsby, Elaine (Tim) Gorman and Valerie Markarian. His grandchildren Jennifer and Jessica Rigsby; Kristin (nee Rigsby) Huntley, Tara and Evan Gorman and Emily and Beck Markarian and great granddaughter Rose Huntley. Rich was a life-long St. Louis Cardinal's baseball fan. As a child, he watched through the fence at Sportsman's Park. He never missed a televised game. After graduation from McKinley High School and serving in the US Navy, Rich spent his professional career as a photographer for the Ralston Purina Company. Travel was Rich's passion. He spent weeks planning vacations and remembered every detail about them. He made it to most of the US states and many of the Canadian provinces, all by car. Rich recently said he took great personal satisfaction in his family. Services: will be held on Monday, December 8 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Jefferson Barracks National Ceme tery. Family requests no flowers. Memorial can be made to the Humane Society of St. Louis.

Uncle Rich always gave us kids attention when we visited. He made it entertaining. My Children's fondest memories were swinging on the swings in the basement. They thought that was the coolest thing ever. RIP
