I remember Dr. Bader fondly. He was the Dean when I was hired as an Asst Prof way back when (1975) and was always supportive of me and my research needs. In sum, he was a great mentor and fine man. I will always remember him and hold him in high regard.

Dean Bob Bader was my immediate boss when I became Chair of the Chemistry Department at UMSL in 1980. He was a tough and very competent administrator. He was also a gentleman and scholar in every respect. I had much admiration for him and am sad to note his passing.

Joel: I was sorry to learn about the passing of your father. I don't recall you ever telling me that your dad was a WWII vet.
I wish your family all the best during this difficult time. Dan Brown, Smith Hall, Caulfield House, '81

I did not know Mr. Bader, but I want to let his family know how much I appreciate his service in the military while protecting America and my family.
