I worked for Ron a few months after grad school looking for another job. I was trying to market more commercial jobs. We had a lot of fun and some interesting marketing ideas. I will always have great memories of my friendship with Ron

I was 20 when Ron hired me as his assistant/trainee in 1970. I worked for Ron for a year before moving to the west coast. This was my first full time job. As I would come to realize much later, working with Ron set the tone for my entire working life, first as a photographer and later as a software developer... uncompromising quality, customer satisfaction, constant honing of skills, all while having a lot of fun. I´m forever grateful to Ron for setting my standards high.

I worked with Ron for many years on photo shoots for projects we were printing. He was a consummate professional, a real gentleman and a lot of fun. I gave him a particularly challenging assignment in the early 80's when I had him shoot burial clothing for both men and women on live models. He made them look so good everyone thought it was clothing for funeral directors, not the deceased. Ron and Sally were a great couple.

I worked for Ron in the 80s when he had his photo studio on Brentwood and he was just getting into video. Ronnie Jr and Patrick ("Bear") would help out occasionally. Ron was a very good photographer and a very nice man and we had a lot of fun times. Sorry to hear of his passing. RIP Ron

Ron was my oldest friend. We met in the 1st grade at Barret Hall and it was the beginning of a friendship that has lasted until Feb. 4th 2021 when he left us. I had a special relationship with the Barlow family and had so many good times with them all. I was part of the wedding party when Ron and Sally got married and I still have the silver cup that was given to each of us from which I have enjoyed many a frosted Mint Julip. Although we have lived far apart, he in Missouri and me in Montana, we have always stayed in touch particularly over the last year of his life while he was waging a difficult struggle against health issues. We could still laugh together in spite of all he was facing. How do you sum up a 70 year friendship? He was my oldest and dearest friend. We lived and laughed together. He was a wonderful father. He was a gifted photographer. He was many things to many people but to me he was "The Frog" and I will miss him. RIP my dear friend. JB

What a wonderful man ! We were roommates in boarding school, perhaps a mismatch as far as the school was concerned but not a concern for us ! We had a propensity for laughter and of course pranks. Was very lucky to have known your father, God bless him, John Lynch

To Ron's family, many of us have lost an incredible friend. Ron taught me much more than photography. He has touched us all with his wit, his knowledge, and his heart. Thank you for sharing him in life. He lives on in each of us.
