Rosa Gabriele, beloved matriarch of the Gabriele family, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children and loved ones.
Born in Palermo, Sicily, she was the eldest of five siblings - Anna, Concetta, Serafina, Rosalia, and Francesco Paolo.
She and her late husband, Agostino Gabriele, emigrated to the United States in 1959 and raised four children: Rosalba (Randy) Thomas, Elena (John) Randazzo, Giovanni (Francesca) Gabriele, and Francesco Paolo (Cettina) Gabriele. Together, they built a celebrated culinary legacy with Agostino's, a restaurant dedicated to authentic Italian cuisine and family tradition.
Rosa is survived by her four children, her siblings Serafina, Rosalia (Benedetto), and Francesco Paolo (Concetta), and cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is reunited in eternal peace with her husband Agostino, her parents Concetta and Francesco Paolo Manno, her grandson Salvatore, and her sisters Anna and Concetta.
Her enduring impact on her family, the St. Louis Italian community, and everyone who knew her will be remembered with love.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rosa's name to any St. Louis Hospitals that serve Children
Visitation: Thursday, Nov 13 from 9 am -10 am; with Mass to follow at Incarnate Word Catholic Church.
Entombment at Bellerive Garden's Indoor Mausoleum.
