Ross B. Sommer M.D.

Sommer, M.D. Ross B. went to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 30th, 2005.
Dr. Sommer was the devoted husband of the late Jane Washburn Sommer of Vandalia, IL; loving father to Rand and Susan Sommer of St. Louis, MO, Mary Beth Sommer of Chicago, IL and the late Sally Sommer Flynn of Chicago, IL. He was a doting grandfather to Laura, Adam and William Sommer of St. Louis, MO and Genevieve and Katie Flynn of Chicago, IL. He was a wise and gracious father-in-law to Kevin Flynn and Debra Sommer.
He is welcomed into heaven by Jane, his wife, of 55 years, who died in May of 2005, by his daughter, Sally who died in July of 2004 and by his grandson Matthew, who died February of 1983.Services: A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Central Presbyterian Church, 7700 Davis Drive at Hanley Road, Clayton, Missouri on Friday, October 7, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends after the memorial service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Interment will be private. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Sally Sommer Flynn Foundation, 1636 North Wells Street, Suite 407, Chicago, IL 60614, Central Presbyterian Church Music Program or St. Luke's Presbyterian Hospital, 232 South Woods Mill Road, Chesterfield, MO 63017.
