His final tour was as Senior Naval Aviator aboard the heavy cruiser USS Columbus (CA 74) in charge of the aviation di-vision. Retiring as a senior grade Lieutenant, Sullivan was educated at Westminster Col-lege, Fulton, Missouri and Southeast Missouri State Uni-versity. Sullivan was active in sev-eral chemical and drug industry associations and was past presi-dent of the Sales and Marketing Executive Club (Wilmington, Del-aware). He was secretary and treasurer of the Empire State Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry in New York. He served as a Presby-terian Elder for twelve years for three churches. After retiring from Monsanto in 1983, Sullivan was an active volunteer. He was a charter member of the Saint Louis chapter of the Executive Service Corps and served ten years as a Monsanto Loaned Ex-ecutive to the United Way. He was a member of the Personnel Board of the City of Des Peres and assisted in Goodwill Indus-try's financial development pro-grams. He is survived by his wife, Betty; a daughter, Kimball Curry of St. Louis; and two sons, Scott Parker of Kaneohe, Hawaii and Kelly Bryant of St. Louis.
