Shannon, Shirley

Shirley Shannon passed away on November 27, 2025 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Flora Hughens; her husband, Wally Shannon; her sister, Jo Sachs; and great-grandson, Cole Aston Jr. Shirley touched many in her life and is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Roger) Shannon Johnson, Karen Shannon and Kristen Shannon Cunningham (Pete); her grandchildren, Shannon Johnson Cova (Reno III), Cody (Mary Rose) Johnson, Kylie (Cole) Aston, Joseph Walter Cunningham and Laci Shannon Cunningham, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Shirley had a wonderful, long and blessed life. She was a gifted artist and master bridge player, accomplished photographer, golfer, and tennis player and cherished her family and many friends. She will be remembered for her quick wit, creativity and tenacity and missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Kriegshauser West Mortuary, 9450 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63132. Private burial to follow.
