Theodore Perry Obituary

Theodore "Ted" Perry was born on December 13, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri. Ted was known for his quiet demeanor, but he couldn't contain his enthusiasm whenever he discussed sports, especially when he rooted for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Ted's academic pursuits included graduating from Vashon High School and later, going back to school and earning an associate's degree in business from St. Louis Community College. A few years after graduating from Vashon High School, Ted ventured to San Jose to join and complete Job Corps training, a period during which he also obtained his driver's license, a proud milestone for him. After living in San Jose for two years, he returned to St. Louis, not by flight but a memorable 1719-mile bus ride on Greyhound, which allowed him to take in the country's landscapes, etching lifelong memories.

Professionally, Ted dedicated over 15 years to Bank of America as a data entry specialist. He took great pride in his work until health challenges led him to retire. Theodore Perry passed away on October 11, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri. Ted's journey through life was marked by his love for collecting memories, whether through photos, music, magazines, or newspapers.

Though Ted was married twice, he had no children. He is survived by surrogate parents, Arthur and Carolyn Perry; his niece Natasha M and a host of cousins and numerous friends. His mother, Marcella Perry, and brother, Dwayne Perry, preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held on October 28, 2024, graveside at Lake Charles Park Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his mother.
