I'm truly saddened to learn of Tim's passing.
The world lost a good man.

Dear Luchessi Family,
I am so saddened to hear of this untimely loss to you all. Crestwood Swim club was an amazing place with amazing people. And Tim was the absolute "nice"guy who was hard working, happy and someone you always wanted to be around. He was a leader to his peers. I worked for Tim and was coached by Tim and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to know such a great person.
My heart goes out to all of you. Though I have not been in his presence for a very long time, my heart grieves with you. He was a giant to me and someone I looked up to. My God comfort you in you grief.

Dear Luchessi family,
I knew Tim through our neighborhood, St. Elizabeth, Crestwood Pool, work, and Fre's Flies softball Team. Tim did not have a bad bone in his body. He was such a kind-hearted and loving man. I feel blessed to have known him and will alwaays remember his smile! I know you are all grieving his loss, but be comforted by the fact that he is saved by his faith in his Savior Jesus Christ. We believers will see him once again in Heaven where we will once again see his smile. May God bless you all in your sadness.
Sincerely,
Chuck Drewett

I have just learned of Tim's passing from Mollie who called me today after coming across a business card. The friendship that Tim and I developed over the years as he came to Rochester, Mn to work Mayo Clinic events will be cherished. He is a good man with a kind heart that he freely shared with others. Just last month when he was here, he proudly talked about his family and the joy of the upcoming wedding celebration that he was so looking forward to. There is no doubt that he will be there in spirit and his love will be present for everyone in attendance. The addition of grandchildren to the family also brought a quick smile to his face. Family was very important to him. My prayers and thoughts are with you all. I will miss his friendship and Rochester visits. Sincerely, David B. Silker

I have many fond memories of Tim at Crestwood Swim Club. We swam together, lifeguarded together and coached together (I was the diving coach while Tim was the swimming coach). He touched the lives of many and will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to know him. My condolences to the Lucchesi family.

My prayers go out to all of you who knew and loved Tim. He was truly an amazing man! His passion was infectious in all facets of life.

I worked with Tim for over 10 years in the book business. Our conversations were mostly about work, but I always could tell in Tim's recount of how things were going, how much he loved his family. On earth you all are what he treasured.

Dear Mollie and family, I have nothing but wonderful memories of Tim from our many years together at Crestwood Swim Club. He was my inspiration in and out of the pool; my employer, my friend, and a tremendous model and mentor to me, especially when my own father passed unexpectedly at a very young age. A mutual pool friend nicknamed me Smiley, but I cannot recall a day when Tim was without a great big smile of his own. He was truly a spirit-filled, model Christian human being, and I am so grateful to have had the privilege of being his friend. He will be greatly missed by so many. May God's blessings and hope fill your family's hearts.

Mollie and the Lucchesi Families, can not begin to express our condolences enough for the unexpected loss of Tim. Although we all went down our separate paths as we grew up, you guys are always in our thoughts. Some of the best memories we had as kids was to be able to be with our cousins in STL. Tim always made us laugh even we were in trouble with the parents. Really going to miss his humor, quick wit and the man he became.

Molly and Family, I was very sorry to hear in church Sunday about Tim. My memories take me back to grade school when our kids were together and especially Boy Scouts. He was a fun and very caring man. I remember after my surgery 16 years ago, I was in church and just sitting because I couldn't really kneel or stand. He came up the aisle to me during mass and asked if I was ok. Please let me know if there is anything I can do, big or small. Bill John and family

Dear Mollie and Family-There are not words that can express how sorry we are for the loss of your husband and dad. You have a great family and you will get through this terrible loss. All we can say is Heaven's gain is everyone else's loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

June 4, 2014

Dear Lucchesi family, my prayers are with you. Tim and I were childhood friends and I have warm memories of the times we shared. It is not surprising to read of his great love of family, his wit and his humility. He displayed these even as a boy and a young man. While I am comforted with the happy memories of young Tim, I mourn the loss we share in his passing. May the peace of our Lord be with you.

Tim, you left us too young. Your departure leaves this world diminished and heaven enhanced. I saw you and Mollie walking on Elm recently, holding hands. That will be my eternal memory of you. You were a good man and you shall be missed. To all who loved you, my sympathies. To you Tim, God's speed. Until we all meet again, pax my friend.

My heart goes out to Tim's wonderful family. I remember him so fondly and am saddened to hear he has passed from this lifetime far too young - such a kind, generous and vibrant human being, one who made the world a better place by his presence. I am sure he will be deeply missed.

Dear Mollie and Family:

When I think of Tim, I see his wide open smile, the twinkle in his eye, his kindness and his zest for life. I hear his humility and humor, and I think of all the life lessons I learned from him first as my swimming coach, and then as my boss and my friend. So many of my best childhood memories include the Crestwood Swim Club, Tim and the Lucchesi family. I have no doubt the angels rushed to welcome him to heaven but can only imagine the loss for you, his children, grandchildren and extended family. Please know I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers in the difficult times ahead. Much love always.

To Mollie and all Tim's kids and siblings,
Tim was a great guy. He was the cousin who always had a smile on his face even when all the cousins (usually the boys) got in trouble when we were kids, doing something stupid like jumping off the bunk beds and raining sand down in the kitchen on vacation in Michigan. We will definitely miss Tim's smiling face and quick jokes. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dearest Mollie, Katie and Jason, Tim Jr., Bridget and Ryan, and Anna.
Tim was such a great person to have as a brother and will be deeply missed by our entire family. Tim was extraordinarily funny, had a very quick wit, and added so much humor to every family gathering. He was generous and charitable regardless of the circumstances. No one will ever know the extent of his good works as he was such a truly humble man. Only in sharing portions of his good works with others did we find out the depth of his charity. He was deeply committed to his family, and the glue that kept us together in good times and sad times. Some people leave a deeper void than others when they leave us, and he will be profoundly missed by multitudes of people. Our family is consoled by the fact that he did not suffer during his last illness and that he is at peace. I love you forever Tim!! You made it so easy to be your sister, Anne Lucchesi Shultz
