Trudee was a gentle soul, a classy lady and immensely talented musician. The influence of her life will extend to many generations. God bless all who knew and loved her, even as her memory lives on.

Mrs. Bicket was my choir teacher at Hollenbeck Middle School (01-04)
I was never a very good singer, but I absolutely loved singing, and Mrs. Bicket knew how much joy it brought me. She even gave me a solo or two. Every day, I looked forward to choir class and keyboarding class.
A memory popped up today 5/28/25, on social media, and it was a photo of the bricks at the Lewis and Clark Statues on Main Street in St. Charles. In 2004, Miss Bicket lost her husband and we came together to raise money and purchased a brick in memory of him. I look for that brick every time I am there and think of them. So today as the memory came across my screen on my phone, I searched Mrs. Bicket’s name and was sad to see of her passing. I know she was such a loved and admired woman who made a difference in many people’s lives. She will be dearly missed.

My life was blessed to have Trudee in it. I first came to know her and her amazing talent when I was preparing to leave for college. At the time (summer 1969), I was serving as the organist at FeeFee Baptist Church and she was to replace me when I left that fall. Little did I realize what a gracious, loving person God had sent into my life. Trudee became very dear to me, playing for my wedding a few years later. Always encouraging me and allowing me to fill in for her on the organ when she had to be away. Through the years she has remained a true friend. Well done, good and faithful servant. Well done.
