Walter E. Sieveking

Sieveking, Walter E. 86, passed away in his sleep on Jan. 3, 2017, at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter H and Esther C. (Lahrmann) Sieveking, brother-in-law Donald L. Hayes, daughter-in-law Julie (Pipitone) Sieveking. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Jacqueline H. Sieveking, his sister Eunice (Philip Bud) Eiler, sister-in-law Doris Hayes, three sons Steven (Jamie), Scott (Julie), Stuart (Raquel Reyes) Sieveking and daughter Marta (Cary) Singleton. Grandchildren Hayley and Sarah Melchert, Erin (Schuyler) Hagglund, Jason and Bryan Sieveking, Rebeca Reyes, Alyssa (Lance) Thomas and Gavin Singleton, and five great Grandkids Jamison, Savannah, Kira, Griffin, and Cash lovingly called him PaPa Wally. Walter loved the Lord, his family, friends and life. He served his country during the Korean War. Walt was the 1st Paid Fire Chief of Fenton, organizing it from a volunteer group to a Fire Protection Dist and served as Fire Marshall at the Chrysler Plant. He loved to train his Golden Retrievers to be therapy dogs and comfort the sick, aged and Veterans. Services: Visitation Mon. Jan. 9, Noon until time of Memorial Service at 1 pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church Fenton, MO, followed by a Fireman's Funeral processional to J.B. National Cemetery with military honors.
