Warren Powers was a wonderful man, great coach, loving husband as well as good friend and neighbor of ours for many years after we moved to St Louis. We have so many fond memories of Warren & Linda. We had Linda over for dinner one night
shortly before she passed and she indicated that she believed it was God’s plan to get her to the gates of heaven so she could guide Warren home when it was his turn. She accomplished her goal. You will be missed.

What a blessing that Warren became a part of our family through his marriage to Linda, our cousin. We spent many a holiday with Warren, enjoying great meals, fun games and watching football. He is now at peace with his beloved bride. Prayers for the family. Love and God Bless You.

I was privileged and blessed to be one of Warren’s first year, 1978 MU recruits. Such an awesome coach, but even better man and teacher of life lessons I still use today at age 62. Warren was also a man of his word as evidenced by his handling of a simple thing to him, but a very important thing to me at the time, that I’d love to share with anyone interested in hearing. Love you Warren, Ken Judd, #39

Warren came into the family's circle when he and Linda met and got married, all of a sudden everyone in the family became football fans. When his team was playing the entire family, including Linda's parents would gather in our basement and watch the game with food, fun, and family...our first version of "tailgating". I remember when Mizzou beat Notre Dame and how excited we all were...so excited, that Linda's father, who had driven to the game got a speeding ticket on the way home, he was so proud of his son-in-law. Warren was a down to earth man who welcomed all into his home and his life. We have many memories of holidays with Linda, Warren, and the entire family. Warren was not a pretentious man, but very humble with his many accomplishments...as Linda told me one time, he puts his pants on just like everyone else. What Warren showed everyone in his quiet way, was to be humble, to put family and God above all else. He was loved by us all, and we will miss you Warren and my dear cousin Linda, your precious wife. I know you are both together forever...

Met Warren while he was working as a sales consultant at Bommarito GMC_Buick in Ellisville, Missouri. He was always a gentleman. He was a special humanbeing, and one who could share tremendous stories of his playing and coaching years that few could do. Many will miss Warren including myself, and I will always be grateful to have known this legend!

"Coach" was a great man a an inspiration to me. I am proud to call him my friend and brother in faith. We come in contact with people who shape our lives one way or another every day throughout our journey. What we do with the interaction is up to us but times with him was always positive and heartwarming. I will forever cherish my memories with him and the talks and laughs we shared. Blessings on your soul my friend as well as sweet Linda's and prayers for your family. You fought a good fight.

You will be greatly missed Coach and never forgotten! The lessons learned at Mizzou under your leadership I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Many great times we most definitely shared as Missouri Tigers which you made possible. You changed many of young lives for the better. I will always be proud to say that I was a Tiger during the Powers era! Rest easy Dear Sir!
