I had the joy of having Mr. Hulub as a teacher at Affton, and like others have mentioned, I was surprised to see him entertain around town. He was one of the kindest, most talented, and quite humble individuals I'd ever met. My deepest condolences to your family.

We had the pleasure of teaching with Bill at Affton High. What a talented musician who shared his love of music with so many young people. He was truly a gentle man.

So sorry to hear this. I was a student of Mr. Hulub's; 5th grade, French Horn; and then on to 9th Grade A-Cappella choir at Gaunt High School in Affton. He was the first person of "influence" who told me I could sing, and I've been singing ever since. His skills as a pianist and musician were beyond measure.
My prayers are with his family and loved ones.

Sad to hear of Mr. Hulub's passing. I had the pleasure of teaching with him and hearing him play professionally. What a gem! He also had the longest fingers I have ever seen! Joe Orf

I had Mr. Hulub as a 9th grade choir instructor at Affton School District in 1970-1971. I loved choir because of him. I still remember the music that we sang... very contemporary for that time. I remember his kindness and his incredible talent! He is one of the few teachers that I still think about- 45 year later. I'm sure that he is absolutely marveling at the incredible music he is hearing in heaven right now! I am so sorry for your family's loss.

I've been friends with Bill for about 45 years. I first knew him as a music teacher for my three sons at Affton Senior High. We became friends with him and his wife, Dory, and listened to him play and sing so many times. We are so fortunate to have his CD and listen to it often. God blessed him with a beautiful voice and talented hands on the piano. We will always remember Bill.

Bill Hulub was our orchestra teacher at Affton High School and taught us so much about music. Years later, I ran into him playing at a fancy piano bar in downtown St. Louis. It was great seeing him again and seeing him doing what he loved.

I will truly miss Bill, he was a great mentor and an inspiration to my musical career. During Jr. High Bill played jazz recordings he brought in just for me to hear. We talked Jazz and music almost every day during school. Later in life I was fortunate to play professionally with Bill many, many times. He was a wonderful teacher and great pianist. I will also miss his humor. What a talented, kind and gentle person Bill was. I was pleased to be selected to speak about him when he received the AEF award. I am very saddened to hear of his passing.

To the Hulub family,
I can remember the wonderful times growing up and spending Christmas Eve at your home. I always looked forward to the after dinning delight of having Bill play the piano and we would all sing Christmas carols. These are memories I will hold for ever. Im very grateful your family was a part of our family.
My deepest sympathy for your family and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

So saddened to hear about the death of Bill. I have had the pleasure of knowing Bill since the '60's when I started in the music entertainment. His mastery of the piano and his personality to entertain will surely be missed. My sincere sympathy and prayers to Bill's family.
