Elisa Nadine Shryock

Elisa Nadine Shryock, age 45, of Tracy, California, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2025. Elisa was born in South Lake Tahoe, California, to parents James Shryock Sr. and Joanne Tarantino, and grew up in Pleasanton and Livermore. Throughout her life, she worked in the loan industry and also devoted her time as a nanny, where her nurturing spirit touched many families. She was also a loving caretaker to her father in his later years, showing the depth of her compassion and strength. Elisa was a Jr. Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, an achievement that reflected her determination, discipline, and spirit. She loved giving to others and had a deep sense of originality that shone through in everything she did. She adored her poodles, Oscar and Felix (both now at rest), who brought her great joy and companionship. She will also be deeply missed by her cat, Pumkin, and her dog, Ivory. Elisa loved the color pink, loved music, and loved people. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and vibrant personality that brightened the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of generosity, authenticity, and joy. She is survived by her mother, Joanne Tarantino; her sisters, Elizabeth Shryock and Shawnie Shryock; and her brothers, Daniel "Lonny" Leon Shryock and Aaron Gallegos. She was preceded in death by her father, James Shryock Sr.; and her brothers, John "Johnny" Shryock, James "Joe" Shryock Jr., and Douglas "Little Doug" Andrew Tarantino. A funeral service will be held at Fry's Memorial Chapel in Tracy, California, on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 2:30 p.m. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life will take place at Casa Grande Mexican Bar & Grill in Tracy at 4:00 p.m. Friends and family are invited to attend both gatherings to honor and celebrate Elisa's life.
