Terrence Hirata "Terry", a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on June 6, 1972, Terrence grew up in Lathrop, California, where he was cherished by his parents, Mike and Diane Hirata. He is survived by his devoted wife, Elsie, to whom he met in the first grade. Together they were married for almost 18 beautiful years, but together for a lifetime. His love for her was unconditional. He is also remembered by his siblings, Rhonda and Susan, as a kind and loving brother whose spirit will live on in their hearts.
Terry was a graduate of East Union High School where shortly after he joined the Military. After dedicating four years Terry was an honorable veteran of the United States Navy, serving with pride and integrity before returning to civilian life. He dedicated 18 years of his career as a boiler supervisor, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
In addition to his professional achievements, Terry was known for his infectious sense of humor and easy-going nature. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was fishing, camping, barbecuing, or going on cruises with his wife. He cherished his time spent outdoors, creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Terry was also a passionate animal lover, sharing his home with two beloved cats, his furbabies; Figueroa and Sylvester, who brought him much happiness.
Terry will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His unwavering love for Elsie and his zest for life have left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to meet him.
