Allan Thaemert Obituary
Funeral Service Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church (121 Bluejay Ave. N) in Mayer with Rev. Andrew Mussell as officiant. Visitation from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at church. Interment in the church cemetery.
Allan Harvey Thaemert was born July 20, 1931 in Hollywood Township, MN, the son of Harvey and Emma (Mielke) Thaemert. On August 22, 1981, Allan was united in marriage to Violet Klaustermeier at Zion Lutheran Church in Helen Township with Rev. Robert Schaefer as officiant.
After school, Allan proudly joined the United States Army. He loved sharing stories from his time in the service. After completing his enlistment, he began working in carpentry. He thoroughly enjoyed wood working and in turn remodeling his house over the years. Allan liked to be busy but in his leisure time, he enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and listening to polka music, especially Molly B.
Allan was preceded in death by his wife Violet; son Jeff Thaemert; great-grandson Parker Grams; parents Harvey and Emma (Mielke) Thaemert; brothers Ellsworth (Lucille) Thaemert, Verlan (Lorraine) Thaemert, Don Schneewind, LeRoy (Darlene) Schneewind; sister Ruth Mohrman; sister-in-law Carol Thaemert; beloved dog Toby.
Allan is survived by his loving family: children Cheryl (David) Lee, Steve (Kim) Thaemert, Kevin (Teresa) Thaemert, Dawn (Darrell Jr) Grams; daughter-in-law Mara Thaemert; step-children Julie (Kevin) Muenchow, Sharon (Nick) Schneider; step-son-in-law Jim Stepien; grandchildren Nathan Lee, Randi (Dave) Beyl, Kristin Lee, Steve Jr. (Erin) Thaemert, Matthew (Heather) Thaemert, Steve (Alyssa) Chambers, Sarah Chambers, Miranda Chambers (Matt Roth), Katie (Tom) Cook, Stephanie Thaemert, Courtney (Alby) Foss, Paul Grams, Rebecca Grams, Erin Grams, Samantha Thaemert, Christopher Thaemert, Isabella Thaemert, Ingrid Chavez; several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren Christian (Krystal), Chloee (Esteban), Caleb, Corbon, Gavyn, Chase, Avery, Emmalynn, Elijah, Eslie, Eeden, Lydia, Bryson, Adrina, Reyna, Delaney, Jack, Alice, Ava, Maci, Peyton, Nicholas, Bryan; great-great grandson Leighton; brother Curtis (Lanette) Thaemert; sister-in-law Phyllis Schneewind; brother-in-law Bob Mohrman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
