Edward Brown Obituary

Edward F. Brown, age 91, of Aitkin and formerly of Waconia went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at his home in Aitkin.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church (210 Church St E) in Cologne with Father Abraham Kochupurackal as Celebrant of the Mass. Gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery. Luncheon to follow.

Ed was born on March 23, 1934 in Perham, MN to John and Mary (Jansen) Brown. When Ed was 3, they moved to Waconia where he grew up on the family farm. He joined the United States Marine Corps for 6 years during the Korean War.

In 1961, Ed married Shirley (Pashka) in Watertown, SD and had a son, Steven Brown.

Ed enjoyed lots of different things in his lifetime from farming to restoring tractors and antique farm equipment with his son, Steve. Ed was also a lifetime member of the Local Union 49.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; parents John and Mary Brown; father-in-law and mother-in-law Alfred and Dorothy Paschka; brothers Jerome Brown, James Brown, Clarence Brown; brothers-in-law Bill Regan, Lloyd Laumann.

Ed is survived by his loving family: son Steven Brown; Ed's special friend Kerry Jo Hoffmann; sisters Florence Regan of Waconia, Jean Laumann of Waconia; sisters-in-law Sharon Brown of Waconia, Karen Brown of Waconia; many nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
